End of Summer Playlist
Although summer isn’t technically over, Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer being the last day beaches are open and last day of summer vacation for many students. I’ve compiled this playlist to send off summer right. This mix is the perfect soundtrack to the reminiscence of hot, carefree days, endless hours of sunlight, and warm nights spent outside under the light of and super moons.
Riot Fest 2014 Playlist!
Yashica Lynx 5000, Lomography 35mm Color Negative ISO 100
Riot Fest is only about a month away and everyday I getting more and more excited for it! This is probably the best lineup in all of Riot Fest history, which makes sense since it’s the festival’s 10th anniversary.
Yashica Lynx 5000, Kodak Tri-X ISO 400 (pushed to 800)
Here’s a playlist of bands I’m looking forward to seeing this year to get me ready for the festival.
"Reach For the Sun", the fourth installment of my Colored Vinyl series (taken with Impossible Project Generation 2.0 Color Film for 600-type cameras)
You helped make the art that hangs on my walls and plays in my heart. thedangeroussummer, thanks for eight solid years of amazing shows, great music and powerful lyrics and I wish you well on your future endeavors!
New Music Tuesday!
It’s Tuesday once again, and here on Bloggins that means it’s time for another round up of new music! So far 2014’s lookin’ pretty good. Enjoy.
Cute Is What We Aim For has released three b-sides form previous years’ work. Check them out below in the playlist:
Listen to Dog Water’s debut single “Forget Your Life”, a song about a sad stoner who wants to forget about all the petty things in life. This surf-rock inspired song will definitely make you forget about your winter blues, what with its laid back vocals and power-pop chords.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re already feeling a bit lovesick, check out “Young Reckless Hearts” by Warm Soda below.
Listen to “Rather Be ft. Jess Glynne” by Clean Bandit. Its clean instrumentals turn into a dancey electronic beat without overpowering Glynne’s vocals and has a great climax.
Because these aren’t necessarily new tracks, but sometimes feel as fresh as a brand new single, I decided to include a section of remixes that have surfaced in the past week. You know, for your dance parties.
