  3. New Music Tuesday!

It’s Tuesday once again, and here on Bloggins that means it’s time for another round up of new music! So far 2014’s lookin’ pretty good. Enjoy.

Cute Is What We Aim For has released three b-sides form previous years’ work. Check them out below in the playlist:

Listen to Dog Water’s debut single “Forget Your Life”, a song about a sad stoner who wants to forget about all the petty things in life. This surf-rock inspired song will definitely make you forget about your winter blues, what with its laid back vocals and power-pop chords.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re already feeling a bit lovesick, check out “Young Reckless Hearts” by Warm Soda below.

Listen to “Rather Be ft. Jess Glynne” by Clean Bandit. Its clean instrumentals turn into a dancey electronic beat without overpowering Glynne’s vocals and has a great climax.

    Remixes

Because these aren’t necessarily new tracks, but sometimes feel as fresh as a brand new single, I decided to include a section of remixes that have surfaced in the past week. You know, for your dance parties.

  4. New Music Tuesdays!

It’s a new week, and that means there’s new music floating around the internets. Here’s a round up of my favorites from this week.

Foster the People have released a single from their follow-up to the 2011 release Torches entitled “Coming of Age”. It certainly does sound like Mark Foster and co. have come of age in the time of their absence, bringing a more natural sound, bright riffs and ditching the falsetto and synths. But it’s not a Foster the People song without the wooooooooo’s. Listen to “Coming of Age” from the upcoming album Supermodel (set to be released on March 18.

Real Estate has released a new single entitled “Talking Backwards”, which is off their upcoming release Atlas, due out in March. Listen to the chill, indie rock tune, but I should warn you: the titular line and its accompanying riff might get stuck in your head.

Click here to stream Young the Giant's new album, Mind Over Matter, before it’s scheduled release next week. Watch their video for the title track below:

Lily Allen has released “Air Balloon”, another single off her upcoming album due out later this year.  The track is reminiscent of the cheeky bubblegum-pop we all know and love, but will it hold up next to her popular track #HOH?

Listen to this MSSLCMMND remix of “Gas Pedal” by Sage the Gemini ft. Iamsu. The remix has an intriguing piano riff and a great beat

  5. New Music Tuesdays

Now that the holidays are over, new music Tuesdays are back. It feels good to have everything back to normal!

First up is an interesting remix of Vampire Weekend's “Step” featuring Danny Brown, Heems (of Das Racist) and Despot. It's a complete 180 flip from the original and worth checking out.

Speaking of Danny Brown and remixes, listen to Ryan Hemsworth's remix of “Kush Coma”, of which has an awesome 8-bit beat. If you like that, download RYANPACKv.1 a compilation of Hemsworth’s remixes featuring Chief Keef, R. Kelly, Beyonce, and Lorde.

Listen to Elder Brother's first single “Throw Me to the Wolves” from their upcoming album Heavy Head, due out March 11.

    via

The Pixies have released another surprise EP, EP-2 (the first one was released a couple of months ago). You can listen to “Blue Eyed Hexe” below and/or buy the EP here

    Enjoy!
